NOTICE

TOWN OF ROTTERDAM RESIDENTS

NOTICE: If you hire a contractor to work in your yard and/or cut trees, the contractor is responsible for removing the debris. The Town WILL NOT pick up debris left by contractors.

STREET SWEEPING: Street sweepers will be out by the first week of April.

COMPOST FACILITY: The Compost Facility on Princetown Road will be open to the public Monday, April 12, 2010.

 *****

All refuse brought to our compost facility must be in biodegradable paper bags (grass, leaves, and brush). Branches, sticks and long brush must be tied in 4' length bundles.

Contractors must obtain a permit from the Town Clerk's office before utilizing the compost facility. Contractors cannot leave debris for the Town to pick up.

Curbside Pickup of Refuse:
Help our Highway crews by placing grass, leaves, weeds, flower clippings, and other small debris in biodegradable paper bags or reusable rubbish containers. Please, when full, these containers should not weigh more than 50 pounds.

If you have branches and other yard debris, make sure they do not exceed 4 feet in length and tie them in bundles if possible. Pickup of grass, leaves, weeds, and brush will continue as long as weather permits.

Winter Plowing!
Just a reminder from the Superintendent: Please park your vehicles off-street so our crews can properly and safely plow our roads. If there are three inches or more and your car is parked on town roads, you can be towed.
