Highway Superintendent
James E. Longo - Email
Town Compost Facility will open in April
(corner of Princetown Road and Burdeck Street)
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturday - 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
All refuse brought to our compost facility must
be in biodegradable paper bags (grass, leaves, and brush). Branches,
sticks and long brush must be tied in 4' length bundles.
Contractors must obtain a permit from the Town Clerk’s office before
utilizing the compost facility. Contractors cannot leave debris for
the Town to pick up.
Help our Highway crews by placing grass, leaves, weeds, flower clippings, and other small debris in biodegradable paper bags or reusable rubbish containers. Please, when full, these containers should not weigh more than 50 pounds.
If you have branches and other yard debris, make sure they do not exceed 4 feet in length and tie them in bundles if possible. Pickup of grass, leaves, weeds, and brush will continue as long as weather permits.
Just a reminder from the Superintendent: Please park your
vehicles off-street so our crews can properly and safely plow our
roads.
