Rotterdam Senior Citizens’ Center2639 Hamburg Street Open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Our doors are open to all persons 55 years of age and older with Rotterdam residents receiving first preference. There is no membership fee to our seniors to take advantage of our wide range of classes, many discounted bus trips throughout the year, or utilizing our building. The Rotterdam Senior Citizens’ Center has been at its present location since 1975. There are many activities for our seniors to enjoy and a lot goes on everyday from craft classes to bingo. Our goal here is to get seniors out of their homes and involved. Many services offered are free to seniors to help save them time and money. In addition to the many activities offered, we also have a library with books and magazines that seniors exchange. Wheelchairs and walkers are available for people to borrow in times of need. We are always searching for new things to bring to Seniors. If you have any suggestions, please let us know. Summer Concert ScheduleThe Town of Rotterdam this summer, through our Parks and Recreation Department and in conjunction with the Schenectady Musical Union Community Performance and Scholarship Fund, will be sponsoring a series of nine professional band concerts and two Town resident band concerts.
